In den Objekten aus unterschiedlichen Materialien untersuche ich organische Strukturen, die die Wahrnehmung irritieren und als etwas weiches erscheinen und es nicht sind. Ein Widerspruch oder eine Irritation erfordern eine gesonderte Aufmerksamkeit und es ergibt sich nach genauer Betrachtung eine neue Erfahrung. Das Ziel meiner Arbeit ist es gewohnte Sehmuster aufzubrechen und auf gewohnte Strukturen aufmerksam zu machen, um eine neue Aufmerksamkeit für die alltägliche Umwelt beim Rezipienten zu erschaffen. Die mit den Objekten erzeugte volumenhafte Begegnung mit der Struktur fasst auf besondere Weise mein Interesse in den zweidimensionalen Arbeiten auf. Das Harte was als Weiches aufgefasst wird ist hier umgekehrt etwas Hartes, nämlich eine Trennung innerhalb eines imaginierten Weichen, dem Farbverlauf. Es kommt daher zu einer Umkehrung der Gesetzlichkeiten, von Weich zu Hart und von Hart zu Weich.

Die Erforschung von natürlichen Gesetzlichkeiten ist wiederum ein elementarer Bestandteil der Arbeit mit der Wahrnehmung, denn es wird stets alles unmittelbar aus der Erfahrung erkannt, erst ein Widerspruch oder eine Neuheit wecken eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit. In meiner Arbeit arbeite ich daher mit optischen und tatsächlichen Widersprüchen und Irritationen, um gewohnte Strukturen aufzubrechen. Die Zementobjekte wirken mit ihren Falten und ihrer gerundeten Form als wären sie weich und sind tatsächlich schwere massive Betonformen. Die Begegnung mit ihnen spricht eine haptische Erfahrung an, die ins visuelle transformiert wird, während der Rezipient dennoch das Bedürfnis verspürt die Arbeiten zu berühren. Die Installationen mit Stoffstreifen greifen das Prinzip aus anderer Sicht auf und sind mit ihrem weichen gewebten Material an einer Konstruktion verknotet. Das Weiche wird hier somit einer Struktur untergeordnet und erscheint selbst als Hartes oder Konstantes, welches dennoch im Wind weht. Die Objekte verbinde ich gerne mit vorgefundene Materialien zu Installationen und erschaffe individuelle räumliche Erlebnisse.

In the objects made of different materials, I examine organic structures that irritate the perception and appear as something soft and aren’t. A contradiction or an irritation requires special attention and a new experience emerges after closer inspection. The goal of my work is to break up familiar patterns of vision and to draw attention to familiar structures in order to create a new awareness of the everyday environment in the recipient. The voluminous encounter with the structure created by the objects captures my interest in the two-dimensional works in a special way. The hard that is understood as soft is something hard here, conversely, namely a separation within an imagined soft, the color gradient. There is therefore a reversal of the laws, from soft to hard and from hard to soft.

The exploration of natural laws is in turn an elementary part of working with perception, because everything is always recognized directly from experience, only a contradiction or something new arouses special attention. In my work I therefore work with optical and actual contradictions and irritations in order to break up familiar structures. With their folds and rounded shape, the cement objects appear to be soft and are in fact heavy solid concrete forms. The encounter with them appeals to a haptic experience that is transformed into the visual, while the recipient still feels the need to touch the works. The installations with strips of fabric take up the principle from a different point of view and are knotted to a construction with their soft, woven material. The soft is thus subordinated to a structure and itself appears as hard or constant, which nevertheless blows in the wind. I like to combine the objects with found materials to create installations and create individual spatial experiences.
